A DRIVER was found hiding in the rear of a van, which was being run by red diesel, by police.
Essex Roads Policing Unit said on Twitter at about 6am today that Essex Police's Dog Section spotted the van driving around Colchester.
When located, the driver was found hiding in the back of the van with more than a dozen red diesel containers.
The unit tweeted: "The van is running on red diesel along with the 14 containers, which will be passed to HM Revenue and Customs for further ongoing enquiries."
