POLICE are investigating after a robbery in which a man sustained several injuries.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Saturday March 13, following a report that a bike and several personal items were stolen from a man in Witham.

The man was riding on the cycle path, adjacent to Armond Road, before two men indicated to him to stop before hitting him on the side of his face causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.

The man, in his 40s, then made his way home on foot having sustained several minor injuries.

The suspects are described as two white men in their late 20s.

Both are described as 5ft 9ins, of proportionate build and both wearing dark clothing and hoodies. One had a beard.

The bike is a red framed Specialized mountain bike.
