TODAY'S nostalgia spread takes us on one last trip to the former maternity hospital in Colchester.
And judging from the reaction to our previous pieces, it has a special place in many readers' hearts.
Hundreds of you commented online with memories of spending time and giving birth at the former Lexden Road hospital.
Donna Bees said: "My son was one of the last Christmas Day babies born there as it was about to close, in December 1996.
"I had the mayor, carnival queen and press pay me a visit!"
Vera Reader said: "Both my daughters were born there.
"With such lovely staff, and having been so well looked after, I didn't want to go home!"
Aly Taylor added: "Four of my five children were born there, all in the same room - delivery room number two."
