A PERSON has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash on a busy road.
Essex Police are at the scene of the collision which happened in Cowdray Avenue, in Colchester, and have blocked the road.
The North Essex Roads Policing Unit Tweeted: "Early turn are currently at an RTC in Cowdray Avenue, Colchester.
"Three vehicles involved, one [person] had been taken to hospital for their injuries.
"Road is partially block whist we await for recovery."
AA Travel first reported the incident at 1.50pm today.
A spokesman said: "Partially blocked and slow traffic due to accident, three vehicles involved on A133 St Andrew's Avenue both ways near Waitrose."
Essex Police and The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
