A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman at an address in Colchester.
Essex Police were called to Lilianna Road, on the Chesterwell estate, at about 9.10am on Tuesday.
A woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are investigating the circumstances which led up to her death and our enquiries are ongoing.
"The cause of her death has not been established at this stage but we are treating it as suspicious.
"A 51-year-old man from Colchester has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody for questioning."

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
