THE car parks at a beauty spot will close for maintenance works.
Chanterelle Car Park, which borders High Woods Country Park, will close from Wednesday to Friday whilst works are completed.
Further works will take place at the main High Woods Country Park car park, off Turner Road, next Thursday (Feb 25).
Visitors to the country park are advised to use the other car park whilst each is undergoing maintenance.
Colchester Council said the dates would be moved to alternatives if poor weather prevents works taking place.

Martin Goss, councillor responsible for waste, environment and transportation, said: "It’s essential that these works take place, and they can only be carried out when the car parks are empty.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and would encourage locals using the Park for their once-daily exercise to walk or cycle to the Park where possible, rather than drive.”
Residents are reminded only to visit High Woods Country Park if they live nearby in order to abide by coronavirus restrictions.
