THE first ever council home was built in Colchester 100-years-ago this month.
The council now manages 5,800 council homes which are under the control of Colchester Borough Homes.
There are also another 1,000 leased flats under its control.
Colchester Council is looking to celebrate the history of social housing in the borough.
It is looking for pictures from residents illustrating the history of social housing in the area.
