A large part of Colchester has been hit by a power cut this evening.
UK Power Networks has confirmed as many as 22 postcodes in the town suffered from a power outage this evening
There are two separate incidents listed on the website, with one affecting more than 2,000 properties.
The other is affecting dozens more.

The area covered by the power cuts stretches from the town centre to Greenstead.
The power problems are believed to have been caused by a fault in an underground electricity cable.
The firm says it estimates power should be back on for affected customers between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.
