EXASPERATED residents had a bit of a chuckle after someone posted a photo online of a pothole which opened up right beside a freshly repaired one.
The damage happened on Station Road, Tiptree, which has suffered a series of potholes in recent months.
Last year, Tiptree Parish Council got Essex Highways to fix the road.

A temporary repair was made and more permanent repairs are expected.
A highways spokesman said: “We fixed some potholes here on Station Road in November and December.
“Now we are planning to permanently fix more in March with four large patches totalling 89 square metres of road.”
