ANOTHER 17 patients have died after testing positive for Covid-19 at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital.
The latest NHS figures, released today, show 818 people have died with Covid at the East Suffolk and North Essex Trust.
This has increased 17 on Wednesday's figure meaning there have been this many deaths at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals confirmed today.
Another patient has also died at Clacton Hospital, which is run by Anglian Community Enterprise.
Two more patients with Covid have died at Mid Essex Hospitals Trust, 10 more at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Trust and 13 more at Southend University Hospitals Trust.
A total of 789 deaths have been confirmed in hospitals across England today.
