ONE of the world's biggest kebab shop chains is hoping to open a new restaurant in Colchester High Street.
SBG Essex Limited has applied to Colchester Council for planning permission to install new signage and a ventilation system on an empty unit in High Street.
The documents reveal the revamped shop will be home to a branch of German Doner Kebab, which has 47 restaurants across the UK and many more across Europe.
The application does not state how many new jobs would be created by the new kebab shop.
