FOUR members of staff at a busy DIY store in Colchester have tested positive for coronavirus.
The employees, who all work at B&Q, in Lightship Way, all tested positive for Covid-19 since December 28.
The firm said none of the staff members had been in the store in the 72 hours before receiving their result and all protocols had been followed.
A spokesman for B&Q said: "We can confirm since December 28, four colleagues from our Colchester store have received a positive Covid-19 test result.
"None of these colleagues had been in the store in the 72 hours before receiving their test result.
"We are following Government guidelines and the correct test and trace procedures have been implemented.
"Customer and colleague safety is our number one priority, so all of our stores have stringent social distancing measures in place.
"When shopping in our stores, we continue to ask all our customers to shop responsibly and follow the government’s social distancing guidelines."
