REPAIRS are set to come for a dangerous pothole thanks to the work of a parish council.
Tiptree Parish Council had been trying to contact Essex Highways to repair the hole in Station Road.
In a post on Twitter, the council said the hole was getting bigger and deeper by the day, with numerous reports already being filed.

They also noted that a pile of asphalt, which had been gathered from the damage, was sitting on the pavement for so long, it started to grow weeds.
An Essex Highways spokesman responded to the concern and a temporary repair was requested on New Year’s Eve.
A council spokesman said: “Thanks (finally) to Essex Highways for repairing the enormous Station Road pot hole.
@TiptreePC Hi, thanks for sharing the photos’ of the problem. I’ve been informed by a highway colleague that an Inspector has been to assess this and a “make safe” type repair has been requested which should be carried out today. Regards Graham

“This is a short-term measure before a permanent repair is put in place.”
