With winter in full swing there is not a better time to be enjoying a roast dinner.

Sadly hospitality venues, such as pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants have had to be closed except for takeaway due to the lockdown.

So while you may not be able to enjoy any of these places in person at the moment, we hope to be able to give them our full support in the not to distant future.

And for some offering takeaway and delivery we can still enjoy the fantastic food.

Last year we asked you to nominate your favourite spot for a roast dinner in and around Colchester.

From pubs to restaurants dozens of you contacted us to tell us why your favourite should make the list.
