2020 has been a strange year for everyone.
We have seen heart-breaking lows and incredible acts of kindness.
This year has meant different things to different people.
It has been overwhelming, sad and lonely but there have also been moments of better perspective and togetherness.
And with a new year not far away we asked you to describe 2020 in one word.
This is what you said…
Sarah Munson said: “Reassuring...in a very strange way...it definitely restored my faith in humanity & I think it also kick started community spirit.”
Carly Reeve said: “Brilliant ( I know it has been far from brilliant for everyone!) I spent extra time with my children, i loved teaching them not only educational things but life skills too.
“My nanna made a fantastic recovery after being extremely unwell (not covid) I've been doing the job I love and my family feels much closer.”
Alina Goodrich added: “Life-changing. In a good and bad way.”
Rowena Tatum said lonely, Carol Gilbert heartbreak and Eileen Smith said difficult.
For Sophie Tarrant the word was unrelenting while Vicki Hall settled for stressful.
Tonya Fay said togetherness, Jennifer Middleton reflective and Kelly Kellz said eye-opening.
Others went with confusing, bizarre and unprecedented.
There was also confusing, perspective, separation, unreal, enlightening and pants.
How would you sum up 2020 in one word?
