THE ALARM frontman Mike Peters is inviting fans to his home village of Dyserth to mark the band’s 40th anniversary next year.

The Alarm Experience 40 - Rock And Roll Staycation Concert Series will see 40 years of Alarm History, between 1981 and 2021, celebrated via a programme of weekly Big Night in Friday night broadcasts and 'intimate' Saturday’ evening acoustic concerts.

Tickets for the second phase of Series - running from September 9 2021 until October 7 2021 - were released on Sunday and sold out within 10 minutes.

Phase One launched earlier this month and sold out within 30 minutes.

Mike, who is married to Jules and has two sons, said: “It’s looking increasingly likely that the idea of touring and playing 'normal’ packed out Mike Peters /Alarm shows around the world is not going to resume properly until at least 2022.

"I thought that - as well as playing and honouring all the current events we have on the calendar - including Rhyl Town Hall and St David’s Hall Cardiff - I could host a series of concerts in the style of mini-Gatherings, with a truly intimate acoustic/storyteller feel to the evenings and, in my own words and music, tell the entire story of The Alarm’s history from 1981-2021."

The idea to hold the Concert Series was born during Mike and Jules Peters’ Big Night In live lockdown internet TV show which has now run to a second series and watched by over 500,000 fans around the world.

Due to social distancing rules, only a limited number of places will be available for each Alarm Experience 40 Weekend at the luxury Alarm Chapel Apartments.

Fans will be invited to become part of the Big Night In broadcast sessions which will go out live across the globe every Friday night, throughout the course of concert series.

The Alarm Experience 40 – Rock And Roll Staycation is keeping in with the spirit of the band’s annual Gatherings, that were built on 28 years of artist/audience role reversal, with fans undertaking the travelling while Mike stayed at home and created a weekend concert experience.

“Some out of the box thinking, the global pandemic and the success of the Big Night In has created a unique situation that can allow The Alarm Experience 40 series to become a reality." added Mike.

“I look forward to welcoming fans to my unique and special part of the world and taking everyone on a musical journey through Alarm history in the heart of its creative centre - The Chapel at Dyserth Waterfalls.”

The first event will begin with Phase One on July 3 2021 and continuing through Phase 2 into October 2020. Throughout, the Big Night In broadcasts will tell the real story of Mike Peters and The Alarm.

Fans who choose to take up the accommodation option will be treated to champagne on arrival.

Participants will be then be shown to their apartment and given a guided tour of the facilities.

The apartments are each named after albums from the Mike Peters and The Alarm discography.
