POLICE say they are no longer searching for a man who has been wanted for at least six months.
An appeal was launched to find Steven Patmore in April after he allegedly failed to show for a court appearance.
Police have confirmed a 26 year-old man was arrested in Colchester shortly after midnight on Thursday. on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, failing to appear at court, and theft of a motor vehicle and that they are no longer looking for Patmore.
It is believed to have been during an incident in Priory Street where the police helicopter was scrambled and armed units attended.
He has since been released under investigation.
