A "SMALL number" of staff at a Tesco store in Colchester are self-isolating after two workers tested positive for Covid-19.
The superstore has confirmed there were two positive tests for staff at the Tesco Extra store in Highwoods.
As a result a number of employees are now self-isolating in line with Government guidelines.
A Tesco spokesman said: “A small number of colleagues at our Colchester Extra store are self-isolating after two colleagues tested positive for Covid-19.
"The safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers remains our number one priority and we are following all Government guidance and taking the relevant precautions.
"We have extensive measures across all of our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular deep cleaning.”
