Almost 250 new positive coronavirus tests have been recorded across East Lancashire since figures were last updated on Saturday afternoon.
The latest data shows that in the last 24 hours, across all six boroughs, 247 people have contracted Covid-19 – with Blackburn with Darwen registering the highest number of new cases.
Across the borough another 66 people tested positive, bringing the total number of cases here to 3,470.
In Burnley, 47 more people tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the borough's total number of positive cases to 1,993.
The third highest number of new cases was reported in Hyndburn where 40 new positive tests were registered with their total now sitting at 1,419.
In Pendle, 38 people tested positive taking the total number of infections there to 1,956.
Rossendale’s total number of positive infections grew to 1,024 after 28 new cases were recorded, while the Ribble Valley’s 28 new infections brought the borough’s total to 621.
In Chorley, another 31 people tested positive for the virus meaning the total there is 1,349.
The total number of positive tests for Covid-19 recorded across East Lancashire now stands at 10,573 (11,922 including Chorley).
