A Ribble Valley football club had their storeroom broken into and items taken in a burglary which was all caught on CCTV.

Rimington FC, who play their games in Back Lane close to Clitheroe, had a chainsaw and football bibs stolen during the break-in, which club reps say took the culprits just three minutes to execute.

A spokesperson for the club said: "Sadly the club store room was broken into on Tuesday evening at about 9.30pm and items were stolen.

"They were in and out in three minutes and no doubt will be calling at other sports clubs too.

"We have passed this and more CCTV footage over to the police.

"The more people who view the footage the more it may help the police catch the culprits.

"Similarly, if anyone has any idea who these people are, please drop us a message."

Lancashire Telegraph:

Sgt Kev Day of the Ribble Valley neighbourhood police team said his officers were reviewing the footage and making enquiries.

He said: "We were made aware of a break-in at Rimington FC on Tuesday at about 9.30pm.

"A chainsaw and some football training bibs have gone missing from the store room.

"There is some CCTV footage which is being reviewed and we are looking for possible lines of enquiry.

"The chainsaw was worth a few hundred pounds."

Anyone with information about the break-in should contact the police on 101 quoting log number 204 of Tuesday October 6.
