A BUSY road notorious for flooding was covered in water as Storm Alex swept across Colchester.
Haven Road, in The Hythe, was swept up after a deluge of rainfall fell across Britain over the weekend.
High tides and constant rainfall meant the street was covered with water through most of Saturday

On Sunday a water main burst in nearby Whitehall Road, causing further localised flooding.
Storm Alex brought around a months worth of rain over just one weekend across Britain.
Further rain is predicted this week, but no weather warnings have been issued
