HARD-WORKING volunteers packed 14 bags full of litter on a two-hour patrol of Colchester... even clearing a one-legged mannequin from the streets.
Members of Colchester Civic Society also found a garden rake, a £5 note and two polystyrene boxes amongst the haul of rubbish.
The group organises litter picks throughout the year and welcomes volunteers.
It will next patrol Colchester on Wednesday, September 23.
A spokesman said: "We're proud to be supporting this year's Great British September Clean here in Colchester.
"Our members will be out and about litter-picking in Covid-secure ways."
