A BUS driver is helping police with their inquiries after a fatal collision on the outskirts of Braintree yesterday.
A woman pedestrian died after a collision with a bus on Coggeshall Road shortly after 1pm on Wednesday.
The road was closed for some time following the accident as police launched an investigation, causing major delays.
The bus driver is helping police with their inquiries.
The accident happened between Wheatley Avenue and Bartram Avenue North.

The victim is said to be aged in her 40s.
A police spokesman said: "Our officers have informed the woman’s family and the bus driver is assisting us with our enquiries.
"We are trying to establish the circumstances of the collision and we would like to speak to anyone who saw the woman walking in the area ahead of the incident.
"We would also like to hear from anyone with any mobile, CCTV or dash cam footage."
