AN unfortunate motorist saw their car swallowed up by the water after parking at West Mersea.
The photo, taken by Michael Summer on Saturday, shows a vehicle being swept away on a high tide on the island.
It is not known where the motorist had parked their car, but people enjoying watersports were having to dodge around it as it drifted into the sea.
