CONTRACTORS have been appointed to undertake the renovation of apartments in Lexden.
Colchester Amphora Homes, Colchester Council’s commercial housing company, has appointed Tiptree-based TJ Evers, to undertake the renovation and conversion of 60 Creffield Road.
The development will see the listed villa turned into six apartments, alongside construction of two townhouses within the property’s grounds.
Two of the six apartments will remain in council ownership to support local housing need.
The project falls within Amphora Homes’ first phase of development to deliver 350 new homes across the borough by 2024. It will be the first development to reach market with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2021.
All profits will be returned to Colchester Council for reinvestment into its services.
