A DEDICATED band, which decided to put out a single every month for the whole year, has launched the band’s song for July.

Ben Wood and the Bad Ideas released their seventh single called Dig.

In the new music video the band has showcased the enticing temptations of escape via vice, which are explored in the track and embodied in the video by a temptress.

This dark song is the group’s first collaboration with producer Jeff O’Rourke and features Karen Bell from Flesh Tetris as the seductive temptress in the video.

Singer Ben Wood, 35, who lives in Wivenhoe, said: “Dig is a song about resisting temptation. Musically we wanted it to reflect intense energy bursting out of confinement.”

The track has already received international radio play. LA DJ Rodney Bingenheimer has given the track a spin while other songs from the band’s 2020 project have also featured on Planet Rock Radio and the BBC.
