THE ambulance service has confirmed a patient has died following a medical emergency in Colchester.
Crews from the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust were called to East Street, Colchester, at 12.30pm on Friday.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance also landed.
Sadly, the patient died.
A spokesman for the ambulance trust said: "We responded to an emergency call shortly before 12.30pm regarding an incident on East Street, Colchester.
"We sent three ambulances and an air ambulance to the scene.
"Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the patient died at the scene."
