POLICE sized a stash of weapons and class A drugs following a raid on a house.
Castle Point's community policing team, Essex Police's operational support group and firearm officers were all involved in the raid, which took place in Canvey today (Saturday, July 25).
They were issuing a warrant under Section 23 of the misuse of drugs act 1971.
Officers found class A and B drugs inside the property, along with a haul of weapons including a sword, baton and knives.
The items were seized and a 19-year-old woman was arrested.
She remains in custody for questioning.
A police spokesman said: "These weapons were easily accessible and could cause a considerable risk to police or anyone else accessing the property.
"Every piece of intelligence we receive is assessed and recorded on our database to support warrant applications such as this, so if you know or suspect drug dealing then please let us know."
