MOTORISTS are being warned about a number of roadworks projects in Cumbria.

Roadside drains works are planned on the M6 southbound between junction 41 and junction 42.

These works started yesterday (July 14) and are expected to be completed by 8pm today.

One of three lanes will be closed.

Meanwhile, on the same stretch of motorway lanes one and two will be closed everyday between 8pm and 6am until Saturday.

The works started on Monday.

The roadworks will also take place during the same hours from July 20 until July 25 and between July 27 and July 30.

On the M6 northbound carriageway between junction 41 and junction 42 one lane will be closed today until 8pm.

Motorists on the A69 westbound between the junctions with the A689 east of Brampton and the A689 south of Brampton are also warned of disruption.

This is to facilitate roadside drain works.

Disruption is expected everyday between 9am and 4pm until Friday.

The works will also take place between July 20 and July 24 during the same hours.
