POLICE are hunting for witnesses to a crash which left a motorcyclist fighting for his life.
The man was found in Colchester Road, Smythe's Green, near Tiptree shortly before 6.30pm on Tuesday, June 30 by PC Liz Ferris who performed lifesaving CPR until paramedics arrived.
The 23-year-old man, from Tiptree, was then taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
He remains in hospital in a serious condition.
PC Ferris has been put forward for a commendation for her actions but police are still desperate to find out how the man got hurt.

A spokesman said: "We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and would like to speak anyone who was driving along the B1022 and saw a black Bernelli Tornado motorcycle travelling towards Colchester.
"Contact the Stanway Roads Policing Team on 101 quoting incident 990 of June 30."
