FITNESS fans have been able to get together for the first time in months as bootcamp sessions were moved back outdoors.

GB Colchester Bootcamp had been holding regular sessions at Abbey Fields, Colchester, before the coronavirus shutdown.

They were then forced to move sessions online, but have now been able to get some members back outside for socially distanced training.

Gabriel Beckett, who owns and runs the company, said: "I am thankful for members' support during this time and I was pleased to be able to continue online during the lockdown to offer a sense of normality.

"Temporarily closing bootcamp was something I never thought I'd have to do, let alone moving the timetable of sessions online.

"But of course, the online sessions weren't quite the same as the outdoor sessions on Abbey Fields so it is really great to be back.

"Since re-opening we have, like many other businesses, have had to adjust the way we operate.

"But we have had some great feedback already."

Changes include essential online booking, a maximum of five people per class and shorter sessions times of just half an hour.

Members are also kept safely apart at all times.
