THERE have been no new deaths due to coronavirus recorded at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital for two days.
The latest figures, which are for deaths recorded up to 5pm on Sunday, show the last death was on Friday.
It means the death toll at the East Suffolk and North Essex Trust is 346 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There were also no new deaths due to the virus across Essex.
A further 20 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died at hospitals in England.
The patients were aged between 55 and 98 years old and all had underlying health conditions.
It brings the total number of confirmed deaths in hospitals in England to 28,338.
To date 384 people in Colchester have tested positive for Covid-19.
Number 10 said it would not “preempt” what the Covid-19 strategy committee decides on the two-metre social distancing rule.
The meeting, due to be held this afternoon, will see the Prime Minister consider a review of the rule along with his top cabinet ministers and the Government’s most senior scientific and medical advisers.
The outcome of the meeting and a decision on the rule is expected to be made public tomorrow.
