A gang of boy racers narrowly missed shoppers while speeding around a supermarket car park.

Officers were called to Morrisons car park off Northwick Road on Canvey last night at about 9pm.

Police say the gang then moved into Roscommon Way and that three drivers were reported for various offences.

The officers are also considering injunctions against the drivers following the incident.
