Shoppers have flooded back to Colchester town centre, with queues spotted for stores such as Primark and Sports Direct.
There were long queues outside the bargain retailers this morning in the town as customers returned to get their shopping fix on the first day of reopening.
The town centre was busy and bustling with people.
A raft of new restrictions are in place for shoppers, with a one way system in Lion Walk Shopping Centre, directional signs and hand sanitiser stations.11482622
There are also changes in the High Street, with cars banned from driving down the road.
Stewards were in the town centre to stop drivers turning right into the road from Head Street.
