A BADGER cub who was a "starving bag of bones" has been rescued in South Essex.
The South Essex Wildlife Hospital found the cub on Friday, which is living with leucism - a condition that causes the skin to look white and pale.
The hospital are now taking care of the cub to ensure he is nursed back to full health.
A spokesman said: "The badger group collected this unusual leusistic cub this evening that had been found as a starving bag of bones and who needs a lot of our attention and care.
"We hope he will pull through as he is quite lively but long term starvation can cause organ damage.
"He is very underweight and frightened but we will of course do the best we can for him."
