A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a crash in Canvey.
Police have launched an appeal for information following the incident, where a woman in her 20s was involved in a collision with a Mercedes on Yamburg Road.
The woman suffered an injury to her ankle in the incident, which occured shortly before 12.35pm on May 21.
A 22-year-old man, known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drug driving.
He has been released on bail until June 12.
An Essex Police spokesperson, said: "We are appealing for information after a collision between a Mercedes and a pedestrian on Canvey.
"Anyone with information about this incident, or who may have witnessed the collision, is asked to submit a report through our website or call 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/72135/20.
