BANK holiday weekend came early for eight people in Widnes as they have each scooped a cash prize of £1,000 thanks to their postcode.
The Milton Road neighbours landed the windfall when WA8 7JP was announced as a People’s Postcode Lottery winner on Friday, May 15.
Sending his congratulations, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “I’m thrilled for everyone who has picked up a prize today in Widnes. I hope the win brightens up their day and they treat themselves to something special with the cash.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by Action Aid, which has received more than £8.4 million in funding to change the lives of disadvantaged women and children all over the world.
