A POPULAR Italian restaurant in Colchester is one of 30 to escape closure, despite its chain going into administration.
The town's Carluccio's, which is inside Fenwick, in High Street, is one of 30 across the UK which will remain open after the firm was sold to Boparn Restaurant Group.
The rescue deal will save around 800 jobs across the UK, however 40 branches will close, meaning more than 1,000 jobs will be lost.
