A PAIR of sheds were destroyed and a summerhouse was badly damaged in a fire in Colchester.
Three fire crews from Colchester and Wivenhoe were called to Willet Road at 1.06pm on Thursday where they discovered a blaze affecting three properties.
The fire was extinguished by 2.17pm but two sheds and a large section of fencing were destroyed.
A summer house was also very badly burnt by the flames and two gas cylinders needed to be cooled down.
Station manager Danny Partridge said: "We requested a third crew due to the manpower and amount of water needed.
"Our crews did an outstanding job fighting the fire for so long on what was a very hot day."
An investigation to determine the cause of the fire will take place.
