ANOTHER coronavirus death has been confirmed at the trust which runs Colchester Hospital.
Figures from NHS England released on Wednesday revealed that another patient had died after testing positive for Covid-19 at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
They died on Monday.
The death toll now stands at 308.
In total, 11 deaths in Essex hospitals were announced on Wednesday.
There were eight recorded at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and another one each at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Trust and Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust.
NHS England said a further 166 people in England had died but added the Covid-19 Patient Notification System did not operate for a period of time on Saturday which could lead to errors.
