Costa Coffee has re-opened its outlet at Stane Park in Stanway after the success of re-opening other venues.

Dovercourt’s Costa Coffee was among the first of the branches to open using trial social distancing on May 4.

As a result of positive feedback, the company has now opened another 46 stores, 31 as a drive-thru and 15 for takeaway including the drive-thru in Stanway.

The drive-thru at Tollgate, Stanway, is among those chosen to re-open.

In an open letter, Jill McDonald, the chief executive of the chain, said they have been trialling social distancing across a small number of Costa stores.

“We have also enhanced our hygiene procedures and adapted our operations, including contactless payment only and providing personal protective equipment for all team members.

“We have received some great feedback from our store team members and customers have responded well to our new ways of working.

“We look forward to welcoming customers safely back into our stores and thank those team members working to support us as we re-open.”

People have been asked to follow Costa Coffee’s website and social media channels for any updates, as the company is actively looking at how they can safely reopen more stores.
