TWO police officers have said it was “rewarding” to help an elderly woman in distress while completing their patrols.
PCSO Adam Ryder and Hayley Howe were doing regular patrols in Colchester when they came across an elderly woman in distress today. (Friday, May 15)
The officers have found the elderly woman confused and cold, so they took her home and contacted her doctor.
Therefore the woman is now getting the care she needs.
Mr Ryder has been a PCSO for 15 years and Mrs Howe, mum-of-two, has been a PCSO for 14 years.
Mr Ryder said: “Sadly, we do occasionally deal with incidents like these and we managed to provide her with support.
“We took her indoors and a neighbour came in and made her a cup of tea.
“These jobs are very rewarding, there’s nothing better than making a difference.”
