A DANCE school has created an uplifting video with dozens of its students which will be sent to doctors and nurses across the country.

Ballroom Business has been busy putting together a sponsored video of its pupils dancing to Harder by Keala Settle, with the proceeds going to the NHS charity Help Them Help Us.

The charity is supporting frontline NHS workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Chloe Carman, who runs the schoolin Parkeston, said she thought it would be a good idea not just to raise money for the NHS, but to also do something which could brighten up frontline workers’ days.

Miss Carman, 21, said: “The only thing I know how to do well is dance and the kids could put a smile on anyone’s faces so I thought let’s put together a video of all of them doing what they love as a thank you.”

So far more than £2,400 has been donated to Help Them Help Us through Miss Carman’s Crowdfunding page.

Nearly 4,000 people already have watched the dance video online.

Miss Carman, who set up Ballroom Business when she was 18, said: “The children are so excited seeing the donations go up every hour.”

“I am so proud of how much effort the children are going to to raise money for such an amazing cause and one which is so personal to us all at the moment,” she added.

About 70 students took part in the video.

Miss Carmen added: “I would like to thank everybody for their incredible donations so far.

“Our tiny tots who are just one-year-old, right up to our 14-year-old juniors, have spent their days dancing and getting their crafts on to do a sponsored dance challenge.” To view the video or donate visit bit.ly/2Kkula4.
