WHILE a visit to the seaside is not on the cards for the forseeable, the RNLI has just the thing to tide children over.

Staff at the Rhyl lifeboat station have devised a nautical themed activity to keep the little ones occupied during lockdown.

The brain child of Deputy Lifeboat Press Officer Don Jackson-Wyatt - and father of four - the challenge asks children to draw, pain or craft something RNLI related, upload an image on Twitter and tag @rhyllifeboat.

Mr Jackson-Wyatt, of Denbigh, said: "It’s nice to keep the children entertained during the long hours of lockdown and keeping their attention elsewhere.

"Having children of my own inspired me to come up with the idea for the RNLI as they miss being by the seaside and it’s great to see all of the pictures being sent in by the children of the area."
