RESTAURANTS, pubs and cafes are beginning to temporarily close their doors or limit their service in response to government advice to tackle the coronavirus.

Here are the Warrington venues we know about so far as we wish all their teams a return to normality as soon as possible.

It has been a tough week for Warrington's new Time Square with The Botanist and Cineworld and uncertainty over the new market launch date.

The Botanist announced its temporary closure on Thursday.

A statement posted on Facebook said: "The Botanist is everyone, from our loyal guests to our hardworking teams and our loving communities.

"You have all contributed to what the Botanist is today, and for this reason the safety, wellbeing and health of everyone is at the heart of this extremely tough decision.

"We thank you for your loyalty and continued support. Please stay safe, look after one another and we will see you again very soon."

Chapelford Farm, Great Sankey – remains open but play area closed

A spokesman said: "As our customers health and safety interests are at the forefront of everything we do we have taken the decision to close our play area until further notice.

"As this is an interactive area with many touch points for the little ones. I am sure you can understand and respect this decision we have taken. We have also cancelled our Friday night kids disco until further notice.

We continue to trade our breakfast, full menu and carvery menu with all measures in place to protect our guests and team throughout this time."

Ego, Stockton Heath

Ego shut its doors on Wednesday as part of efforts to slow the outbreak.

A statement posted on its Facebook page said: "This is a particularly challenging time for us all, and one that hopefully will pass sooner rather than later.

"We have spent many years building a business that has been focussed on employing local staff and serving fresh, good value food in a friendly way and in comfortable and clean surroundings.

"It is with regret that we have decided to close all of our restaurants and pubs until further notice due to the impact of the coronavirus.

"We so desperately hope that the closure will not be for took long, and when we re-open we will do so with lots of energy and be able to welcome you back with a friendly and big smile."

Eighteen The Cross and The Wine Kitchen, Lymm

The venues have made the 'really difficult decision' to close until further notice.

A spokesman said: "During this challenging time we have been overwhelmed by the support from our customers and also their offer of future support."

The Turkish barbecue restaurant is closing its sit-in restaurant on Sunday but food will continue to be prepared for collection and delivery.

A message to customers said: "To everyone who has supported us through our many years, thank you. And we hope we can serve you from now until Sunday evening."

Kelly's Chinese, Stockton Heath - remains open but only for takeaway

A statement said: "Unfortunately, we have decided that we will no longer accept customers to dine in the restaurant with us. This is to protect the health of our staff.

Phil Birbeck, managing director of restaurants, added: "This is not a decision we've taken lightly but we're confident it is the right one in the long term for our team members and guests.
