POLICE seized drugs and £4,000 in cash after stopping a suspected dealer.
Drug squad officers from Essex Police's Op Raptor team were on patrol in Colchester on Wednesday.
A man from the town was stopped and searched and found to have Class A drugs.
His home was searched and more drugs and money was discovered.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Yesterday proactive patrolling in Colchester resulted in a local male being stopped and searched. A quantity of drugs was located on the male.
"This led to a search of the males home address where a large amount of Class A and Class B drugs were found along with around £4,000.
"We will continue to make our streets safer for our residents."
