FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a man who was trapped in his car following a crash.
Crews from Maldon and Tillingham were called to Steeple Road in Latchingdon around 5.10pm yesterday (Saturday, February 1) to deal with the incident.
Police were also called to the scene and had to shut the road for an hour.
Only one vehicle was involved in the collision and pictures published by officers at the scene show the car flipped on its side.
Firefighters were able to release the man inside the vehicle by 5.58pm.
He was then left in the care of the ambulance service.
