The bistro cafe on the corner of High Street boasts an extensive menu with sweet and savoury breakfast and brunch options.

The Gilt Rooms, West Mersea
The Gilt Rooms was founded from the idea of creating a tea room centred around the community and opened in 2015.
Vanya Fletcher said: "Quaint little tea room, with excellent breakfasts, including pancakes, full English, and even bubble and squeak! Delicious coffee and homemade cakes. In fact everything is made on the premises. Just lovely."

Bakeoffee, Colchester
The cafe and bakery offers a set breakfast, plus cakes and light meals featuring eggs.
Kelly Hopkins said: "Warm and welcoming family run coffee house. That bakes in-house a variety of tasty breads/rolls and pastries! Lovely cooked breakfast and a good vegetarian/vegan alternative if you’d so wish! Definitely recommend."
