POLICE have issued CCTV footage of a man wanted by officers in connection with a serious of ‘suspicious incidents’ in the south of the town.

Cheshire Police received four reports of ‘suspicious activity involving an unknown man’ in Appleton, Stockton Heath and Walton between Monday, December 30, and Sunday, January 5.

The first report came on Cobbs Lane at 11.15am on December 30, with further incidents coming shortly after 10.45am on January 2 on London Road and at 12pm on January 5 on Westbourne Road.

Enquiries are ongoing, and a CCTV image of a man jogging along London Road in Stockton Heath has been released by officers who are hoping to trace him.

Sergeant Gareth Kerr said: “This is an ongoing investigation, and as part of our enquiries we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may be able to assist us with our investigation.

“If you think you recognise the man or have any information in relation to the incidents, please call the team here at Warrington on 101.

“I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV image to get in touch to help us progress with our investigation.”
