A TREE has caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage after it fell onto a car.
The tree came crashing down before 6.30pm last night into a drive in Marchwood, smashing the back widow and causing damage to an Audi TT.
The tree landed in resident Debbie's drive, where five cars were parked at the time.
Debbie said that it was her daughter's boyfriend's car that suffered the worst of the damage.
She added: "The first we knew of it was when a dog walker knocked on our door to see if we knew the tree had fallen.
"I couldn't believe it. We didn't hear anything."
Last night, a number of trees fell onto roads causing traffic chaos across Hampshire as stormy weather battered the county.
